Healthy Cod Recipe

I am often asked about diet.  Most people seem to think eating has to be restrictive in order to lose body fat.  I don't think so.  This cod dish is delicious and SO satisfying.  The most important thing about your meals should be the MACRONUTRIEN...

Skinny Fat, Crossfit, Women and Muscle

I've written on this in the past.  It's great to hear it and see it from someone else.  Great article about women, lifting weights, and the fallacy of "getting bulky".

CROSSFIT: The Pros and Cons

Crossfit is sweeping the country.  I'm hooked.  But is it the best way to train and are the risks worth it?

To Push Yourself vs Hurt Yourself

It's great to be back and blogging again.  I recently did a promotion with Gilt City and have taken on a bunch of new clients.  I love fresh blood!  I love training people I've never trained before because they are a blank slate and, if they choos...

Welcome to the New Website!

Finally, I welcome you to the new website!  Take a look around.  My plan is for this to be a continual "work in progress".  My blog updates will now appear here (no longer on blogspot) so please bookmark here.  It's been 6 months from the vision to the execution.  I learned A LOT about the working of the internet, web services and design.  Stuff I had no idea about.  It's fair to say I experienced what a newcomer to exercise must feel: overwhelmed and having serious doubts I could even finish what I started.

Training vs. Exercising

Today, I'm paraphrasing something I read on Crossfit's website over the weekend to expand upon my post about focus.  What's the difference between exercising and training?I love this topic because I think it gets to the heart of why some people ...

Psychology of Fitness - Identify Your Blocks

Today, I feel like talking about what gets in the way of achieving our goals.  Whatever the goal is.  I'll focus on physical fitness goals, but we can apply this discussion to any area of our lives. I believe that achieving your physical fitness...
